How Print Studio works

A plain-English guide to selling print-on-demand products on Terradine.

What is print-on-demand?

You upload a design. It gets placed on a product (a shirt, mug, poster…). Nothing is printed until a customer buys it — then Printify prints that one item and ships it to the buyer. No stock, no upfront cost, no packing. You keep the difference between your price and Printify’s production cost.

The 3 words Printify uses

You don’t have to memorize these — Print Studio fills them in for you. But here’s what they mean:

Product (Printify’s API calls it a “blueprint”)

The thing you print on — e.g. “Unisex Heavy Cotton Tee”. You search and pick it right inside Create or Bulk.

Print provider

The print shop that makes it. We pick a good default for you automatically — you don’t choose an ID.

Variants

The colors & sizes of that product. We pre-select popular ones; tweak them with checkboxes if you like.

Step by step

  1. Connect Printify. Create a free account at printify.com ↗, then in Printify go to Settings → Connections → API and generate a Personal Access Token. Paste it on the Printify tab.
  2. Create a product. Open Create a product, pick a product, upload your artwork, choose colors/sizes (or keep the defaults), set your price, and publish.
  3. Make it live. New products start as a draft under My Products. Review the mockup, then hit Make live to sell it on Terradine.
  4. Get paid. When it sells, the order is automatically sent to Printify for production and shipping. You keep the margin.

Making a lot at once (Bulk)

Have 50 designs? Use Bulk create. Pick one product, then feed it your designs three ways:

  • Image URLs — one web address per line.
  • Upload from your computer — select many image files at once.
  • A CSV file — download the template ↓, fill in a row per product (title, image URL, description), and upload it.

Print Studio makes one product per design, on the same base product, with the same colors/sizes and price — then shows a live progress bar as each is created.

Good to know

  • Artwork should be a high-resolution PNG (transparent background works best), ideally 1500×1500px or larger.
  • Printify allows up to 100 enabled colors/sizes per product — Print Studio keeps you under that automatically.
  • Our product catalog and print-provider list refresh daily from Printify so your products don’t fail on stale data.
